The Diploma Programme is offered full-time to school leavers with qualifications in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/ IGCSE. Through this programme, students will acquire the skills and knowledge that will contribute towards their career development in related fields.

Diploma in Management
This programme will equip students with the skills and knowledge required in management as well as expose them to basic aspects of organizational management including management, marketing, finance, management information systems, human resource management and strategy implementation. Curriculum, course content, academic standards and course evaluation are specifically designed to enable students to gain and develop the skills and knowledge relevant for a career in management.
Entry Requirements
- Pass the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or its equivalent with minimum three (3) credits in any subject; or
- Pass the IGCSE or its equivalent by obtaining at least Grade C in three (3) core subjects***; or
- Pass the Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent by obtaining at least Grade C in any subject; or
- Pass the Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum Maqbul ranking; or
- Pass the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 in a related field and pass SPM with at least one (1) credit in any subject; or

This programme will equip students with a deep understanding of the fundamentals of human resource management and expose them to the basic and latest thinking as well as the best practices in human resource management. As organizations currently exist in a dynamic environment of constant change in an era of globalization, this programme puts human resource management as a critical aspect in the management of organizations.

Diploma in Business Management
The Diploma in Business Management programme is offered to school leavers interested in pursuing a career in business management. This programme will provide students with the skills and knowledge in total and integrated aspects of business management, and is suitable for those wishing to acquire a sound understanding of all aspects of business. Students will be trained in all functional areas of management of a business such as accounting, management, marketing, and human resource management that can be beneficial for career development and organisational development, and foster a spirit of entrepreneurship among the students.

This programme will provide students with the skills and knowledge which will enable them to understand the underlying theories and developments of modern accounting in today’s complex businesses. This programme will develop students’ competencies with an in-depth knowledge of accounting aspects which include financial and management accounting, taxation, auditing and business law.

The Universiti Malaya Centre for Continuing Education is an academic responsibility centre (PTj) established and recognised by the University Board of Directors under the Universiti Malaya Corporate Programme since 2011. Therefore, students who enrolled in this Diploma programme will receive a certificate issued by the Universiti Malaya.
The Universiti Malaya Centre for Continuing Education offers Diploma Programme as follows:

Graduates of Universiti Malaya’s Diploma Programme, offered by the Universiti Malaya Centre for Continuing Education, are eligible to apply for the Universiti Malaya Bachelor’s Degree Programme through UPU channels designated by the Ministry of Higher Education or through SATU channels which designated by Universiti Malaya itself. This eligibility is subject to the requirements of the programme. However, admission to continue their studies at Universiti Malaya is not guaranteed for graduates.
Yes, graduates of the Universiti Malaya Diploma Programme are eligible to apply and continue their studies at any IPTA/IPTS, subjects to the conditions stipulated by the respective IPTA/IPTS.
Graduates of Universiti Malaya’s Diploma programme have the opportunity to further their studies to a Bachelor’s Degree level at any public or private higher education institution (IPTA and IPTS) in the country, subject to quotas and additional requirements determined by each university. Additionally, graduates are also eligible to apply for suitable positions in both government agencies and private sectors.
Diploma programmes will be conducted in Universiti Malaya Cyberjaya and Universiti Malaya Education Centre (UMEC) Bachok.
Entry requirements for the University of Malaya Diploma programmes for citizens are as follows:-
- Pass the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/IGCSE***/Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) with minimum three (3) credits in any subject
- Pass the Sijil Tinggi Agama (STAM) with a minimum Maqbul ranking

The tuition fees for the Diploma Programmes at the Universiti Malaya Cyberjaya are RM19,130 excluding accommodation. Various educational financing options are available to students.
Yes, it is optional for Diploma students to take the accommodation that are provided by the Universiti which the transportation will be provided for free for the students.
